True believers.

Hear first-hand from our residents about life here!

I’ve been so well served; I can’t thank you all enough. All communication and physical assistance has been professional and appropriate. I will recommend Covenant Living and Brandel whenever I can. Thanks for all your comforting service.

Valerie and I were very pleased about the care she received at Brandel Health & Rehab. Everyone is willing to help and always makes sure that you are satisfied and have a speedy recovery. All the paperwork and instructions for coming back home were complete and easy to follow for the home health care agency. You can be very proud of everyone on your staff for the friendly “we care” attitude, which is a real plus in today’s world.

I want to acknowledge the excellent professional staff, nurses, aides, and therapists who care for me, both day and night, with a great deal of compassion, friendliness and sensitivity. During my month-long stay, they and other administrative staff responded generously to my needs and encouraged me in ways large and small. Food service provided a diversity of menus and tasty food. Overall, I believe Brandel has established the best interests of the patients as its priority. When I was discharged, I felt like I was leaving a new family.

Thank you to all who helped make my stay at Brandel a very pleasant experience! From the moment we arrived at Brandel until the day we left, we were treated well. The nurses, therapists and entire staff were very helpful and courteous. We felt good things about Brandel. My private room and bath were clean and beautifully furnished. I felt like I was at home.

I have been a patient for two long-term stays at Brandel. I personally feel the care I received was exceptional! The facility is immaculate; the staff is incredible! I have not met one person here who doesn’t go beyond the call of duty, with a smile on their face.

Barbra Aldrich is my mother-in-law and entered Brandel on October 5th. She was in your care for over two and a half months. During that time, Ward (her son), and I had many interactions with your staff. Barbara had been living independently, so this was the first time at a nursing home for all of us and were not sure what to expect. She was most unwilling to give up her independence and wasn’t particularly happy to be in Brandel. Your competent staff quickly changed her opinion and did much to put us at ease as well. Physical Therapy went out of their way to make Barbara’s life easier and was joyful in all of her progress. Colleen and Alison showed themselves to be efficient, knowledgeable, and kind. These nurses did their formidable jobs with expertise and never forgot to include compassion for the person for whom they were caring.

When I came to Brandel, I realized I had come to a special place. The facility is excellent. My accommodations were superb and special adaptations were made for my needs. I was perfectly OK from the neck up, and Brandel enabled me to adapt my room so that I could continue to run my marketing consulting practice. The physical therapy unit was totally conscientious in its approach to my particular problems, which were not easy to treat. An excellent regimen was created for me to do in my room and this was quite helpful. The food was wholesome, balanced and tasty. This is not the only rehab facility that I have experienced. Earlier this summer I spent two weeks in another more highly publicized and larger facility in the area. There was no comparison with Brandel in every dimension.

I recently had inpatient therapy/rehab at Brandel in Northbrook, IL. and want to tell you what an excellent experience I had, both with the nursing staff and the 3 therapists who helped in my recovery from a stroke. Everyone was so kind and supporting and cheerful all of which helped in the healing process. I appreciate the dedication of the staff in these dangerous times, and thank everyone from my heart. It must be frightening to leave your families every day to help others heal. I hope everyone appreciates the sacrifices you make. This past Saturday, (March 28), was the day I came home. I am doing well and looking to a good recovery. I will always remember you all. God bless your compassion and good work.

Thank you for your loving care for mom – Ruth Anderson. She always commented to me how good everyone was to her. It brought us great comfort as we lived so far away. You are all a blessing to your residents and their families.
